My channel was demonetized over a 5 second Luigi meme. (250,000 subs.) all decisions final no option to reapply…

I understand the importance of maintaining a safe community on YouTube, but the decision to demonetize my channel (250,000 subscribers) over a single meme feels disproportionate. My account had no prior strikes, and this action was taken without warning or opportunity for discussion. It seems highly unlikely that a human reviewed my channel, as the appeal was instantly denied. This channel is not just a passion; it’s my livelihood, and the lack of personalized support has been disheartening. The meme in question featured a picture of Luigi with the caption: *“He was the best guy around what murder”* …and the text *“the entire internet right now.”* YouTube flagged it as supporting or recruiting for a criminal organization. While I understand the need for strict policies, this was clearly a satirical post, not harmful or promoting any illegal activity. The appeal process was instantaneous, and I was informed that the decision is final with no possibility of reapplying after 90 days. I’ve reached out to Team YouTube on Twitter (@jessedalba) in hopes of resolving this, but I fear my message will be ignored unless this gains traction.
