Kill the YouTube android app with fire

Hi I'm curious if there is a way to easily undo the latest YouTube android app update (Samsung s24) and go back to the old days when the app was actually not bad to use. It was already bad before the most recent update but now it's just horrible. Can't even search now while watching a video. Opens in full screen. Then when you swipe it plays another video?? The floating mini player is so wildly dumb and frustrating and now they doubled down and made it many times worse. I am paying for premium too. What an insult. If I can't permanently downgrade to older versions are there other apps that can interface with YouTube? So you can still watch YouTube content but just not using the horrific YouTube app. Any help is appreciated.
