Train round trip journey from Visakhapatnam to Akaru advice

Hey folks, I am planning to visit Visakhapatnam with my wife & kid in march and we plan to visit the Borra caves. We have been advised to book the 6.45 am train from Visakapatnam to Borraguhallu & do the return via at 4:50pm Now for 6.45 am train, the EV (Vistadome) option is showing a Waiting list of 12 currently. While there are plenty of 2S option. But for 4.50 return, we see plenty of EV seats available. So some questions - 1) With a WL of 12, do you think we have any possibility of getting a confirmed ticket ? 2) How bad is 2S option - can I go there with my wife and kid .. Will it be safe, sufficiently clean & we get to see any views at all ? 3) For return journey does EV make any sense .. would we get to see any views or it will become dark soon ? Apologies for lot of questions, but would appreciate if someone could help guide me. Thanks!
