Is Vadodara good to settle for people from Bangalore during retirement time?

My wife studied in Vadodara and we are southindians from Bangalore. we thought it would be good to settle there after we had a recent visit. Could anyone tell us about pros and cons of it. We are looking out for some properties there to get settle down.
