I am coming for holi in mathura, should i stay in Vridavan or Barsana?

I am coming by train on 7th march and will straight go to barsana for laddo holi but i am confused, should i book mystay in mathura or vridacan and just visit nandgaon and barsana for holi or should i book somewhere in barsana? Also let me know if anyone knows a cheap hotel, i am really on tigbt budget here.
