Do you believe in Ancestral rituals in uttarakhand to be supernaturally real or just a cultural tradition( or as some would say superstition)?

During lockdown, I was on various casual groups on Facebook mostly involving teenagers. Whenever there used to be discussion about paranormal activities, i observed, uttarakhand peeps used to point out jagar ritual, acting in comment section like it's such a common thing and there is no belief factor as if it's self evident.
