Ankther day...another bus accident

A bus from Pauri -Srinagar fell into 150m ditch. Reports are that 5 are killed with many injured These accidents have become norm in the state. And despite repeated accidents, it seems like there's no stopping them. Primary question being who is to be held responsible for these accidents. I don't know why Private bus owners are allowed to run decades old buses in the state. There is no regular maintenance of these buses and are prone to frequent brake failures and other such issues. Another point is that there is no one from police to check alcohol level in these pahadi drivers. Almost all of them drink "to stay alert" and yet no one stops them. However, the biggest culprit is Uttarakhand Government who has done zilch towards making road travel safer in the state. As if above two reasons aren't enough, govt has failed to maintain the roads. Most roads lack adequate guardrail and proper signages warning drivers of sharp turns. But alas, we live in the state where there is literally zero responsibility acceptance. This day will also go, govt will announce compensation and people will forget all about this.
