  • Scammed by an uber auto driver in TVM. What can I do now?

    So, today at 10 pm I booked an auto through uber and it showed the estimated fare would be around 366 rupees also depicting the shortest route possible for the ride. But the driver took a different route which was not the usual one. I was traveling with my family and when we questioned that, he simply said the company itself was guiding him to take the long route and if he tries to go any other way, he will in trouble. We foolishly believed this and thought no matter whichever route they take , we'll only have to pay the previously estimated fare .(mind you, I've used this uber auto service only once before and even though it was quite late at night, the driver rode the usual way and we paid only the amount that was showed at first). But when we reached the location the driver demanded a fare of 478 rupees and the app also showed the same. Luckily , I took a screenshot before the ride which clearly shows the estimated fare and path which is very different from the one the driver took (actually we were supposed to reach the location in the opposite direction) I reside in tvm and I took this auto from Lulu mall. All my attempts to get a customer care number of uber from google was in vain. And the help option in their app is of no actual help either. I got to know that there are two offices of uber functioning in tvm from google. What can I do now?
