Dry Cleaning disaster. ðŸ˜
We gave our expensive sarees for dry cleaning to Tumledry at the location in Pettah, Trivandrum. These were new sarees we just wore for a wedding. What turned out was nothing short of a disaster. The sarees were tossed into a washer instead of dry cleaned. 2 of the sarees were ruined and colours bled in to one of the saree. That one is a total writeoff. When it was brought to the owners attention, he engaged us in an extended conversation over the phone without coming in person, though we spent over an hour at his location. He kept insisting that the saree already had the colors bled into it which we refuted by providing pictures. The next tactic was the they need to reprocess the saree again and refer to the experts. Then he claims that it is not pure silk. When we told him that we are going to post review about our experience to warn others , he said to go ahead and that he can pay others to write positive reviews. I don’t think the location has trained staff , so you are the risk of ruining your expensive clothes. We have taken it up with their corporate HQ in Noida and they say they are looking into it but we are still getting the runaround. I will keep this updated on what I hear.3
