Can we contest speeding tickets?

Got a speeding ticket while travelling on my scooter just before kovalam by the highway. It was taken by a highway interceptor. Got the ticket on my fone within half an hour... the photo on the challan is shitty that the speed written on it is not legible. But I am pretty sure I don't ride 2 wheeler above 50kmph. And is there any chance it might be a mistake? as the image on the challan shows a car behind me. can it be a wrongly generated one?? anyone here with a similar experience?
