Your favourite trading setups for good and bad times.

I am new to trading and been learning about breakouts mostly from Minervini and Qullamaggie and it seems like this market condition isn't exactly conducive to these strategy since it feels like we are in a more choppy and sideway market. I am getting stopped a lot but pullbacks on names that respect their MAs seems to be doing better for me but still being very conservative with moving my stops. I am wondering what your favourite trading strategies are for bull, sideway and bear markets. Should I keep at breakouts? Do something else? How do you adapt to market conditions?
