Trading Advice for a beginner

Hi guys, I thought I would come on here and ask for any advice you would give to someone who is interested in starting trading. I am currently 18 on my gap year but do work a full time 8:30am to 5pm job Monday to Friday in Credit Management. My current wage is £450 a week but do put almost half my earnings into savings for Traveling and Uni. I really want to get into trading before I start my uni course as I now have some capital that would let me make investments without compromising necessities. I will be studying Finance and Investment this September so this would be a perfect time to start. What advice would you give someone my age with the capital I have who would only be free to make trades after 5pm? Any advice would really be appreciated even small things you think would be obvious.
