Tracking my Trades manually was a pain—So i built a Tool to Automate It. Would love your thoughts!
For a long time, I didn’t bother tracking my trades. I thought, “Markets are forward-looking—what happened yesterday won't impact tomorrow." But then I came across a quote from Euan Sinclair that hit home: >Is the world roughly going to continue to be the same, or is this time different? Betting that the world is roughly going to continue to be the same is usually the right bet to take. This made me realize that while markets are always shifting, my trading behavior was pretty consistent. And my recurring mistakes—holding losers too long, overtrading, misjudging risk—weren’t going away unless I could see exactly what I was doing wrong. Tracking my trades manually seemed impossible with the volume I was doing. So, being from a systematic trading background, I built a tool to automate the process. It connects directly to exchanges via API, tracks everything, and spits out reports that have been super helpful for me. Here’s what it does: **• Win rate, Trade count, L/S ratio, Calendar filters** **• Performance reports with insights on hit rate for specific days, strategies (tags like Strategy, Execution, etc.), and notes for trade entries and exits** **• Comparison of your planned vs. actual actions to highlight discrepancies and areas to improve** **• Dashboard for analytics: cumulative PnL, win rate, PnL breakdown by symbol, holding time, volume, total trades, biggest loss, biggest profit, and more** **• Insights on asset/ticker performance relative to average performance, identifying which symbols and strategies work best for you** **• Granularity on open/close trade markouts to measure slippage, market impact, and execution quality** **• Behavioral insights to help identify patterns in your trading mistakes, helping you minimize losses** **• Stop-loss optimizer that adjusts based on historical and intraday volatility rather than static levels, helping to better manage risk** **• Timedecay insights to track whether you're holding trades too long or too short, with data on expected movement vs. actual movement** **• Regression analysis to decompose returns into market-driven vs. excess returns, showing whether your strategy is actually making money independent of market drift** Also another things that we'll be adding (short videos i made some time ago but still relevant) Correlation of log returns, find most/less volatile assets 1m rolldown, Instrument beta, Z score for a basket of your desire to find strength/weaknesses, Impact simulator/Random walks for backtest. Feel free to check out the tool if you're interested. It’s free and will always continue to be, but only works with crypto exchanges (so far) since that's where I trade: [https://tradestream.xyz/](https://tradestream.xyz/) Let me know your thoughts—any feedback is appreciated!2
