Thinking of quitting my job to trade and freelance
Hey everyone, I’ve been at the corporate grind for a while now, and at 33, I’m beginning to feel that it might be time to rewrite my story. I’ve managed to save up around $100k over the years, have no debts, and even though I love learning new things, my 9-to-5 job is starting to feel more like a constraint than a stepping stone. Lately, I’ve been daydreaming about a life where I split my time between part-time trading and freelancing—two fields that spark my creativity and passion. I imagine a future where I’m not chained to a desk, but instead, have the freedom to explore my ideas, work on projects that excite me, and build a lifestyle that aligns with my values. I’m also considering keeping a part-time gig to cover my fixed expenses as I make this leap, to cushion the transition and keep the creative juices flowing. I’m curious: has anyone else taken this leap of faith? How did you manage the transition? What challenges did you face balancing part-time trading, freelancing, and maybe even part-time work? I’d love to hear any insights, tips, or even stories of caution as I plan my next chapter. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences and advice, I’m excited (and a bit nervous) to see where this journey might take me!4
