Reverse strategy

I’m sure this is a stupid question but I’m curious if anyone has had any success with something similar. I wrote a pinescript strategy that is absolutely terrible. It was meant to be a long strategy, but it has a horrendous win rate and even every single winning trade has significant drawdown. Literally 100% of trades either loses or has a significant drawdown. Could I just theoretically go short each time the strategy tells me to go long?
