Buy/Sell Order Breakdown
Hello All, I am new to trading and I want to fully understand the type of orders and when to best use them. Below is my understanding. Please let me know where I am wrong and also let me know which order to stay away from or if each order has their purpose. Thank you in advance. \-Buy @ Ask - Buying a stock at the lowest price a SELLER is willing to sell the stock for. **(Medium Entry)** \-Buy @ Bid - Buying a stock at the highest price a SELLER wants to sell a stock for. **(Quick Entry)** \-Buy @ Market - Buying a stock at any price first available. May be a very high price. **(Medium Entry)** \-Sell @ Ask - Selling the stock at the lowest price a BUYER would want to pay for the stock. **(Quick Exit)** \-Sell @ Bid - Selling a stock at the highest price a BUYER is willing to pay for the stock. **(Slow Exit)** \-Sell @ Market - Selling at any price available. May be very low price. **(Medium exit but guaranteed exit)**2
