Why Tamil Nadu is a Better Choice for Pregnant Women Compared to North India

Even this amount is often denied due to bureaucratic hurdles and software glitches. In contrast, Tamil Nadu offers a generous ₹18,000 per child, with promises to increase it to ₹24,000. This substantial support ensures that pregnant women can afford better nutrition and healthcare. The time has come to admit that the PMMVY is a flop show. The central government seems to be more concerned with saving money than with helping pregnant women. As a result, it has ruined a programme that could have proved very useful and popular.1
