Investment in TN

Hey guys , wondering how profitable it is to invest in Kodaikanal. Looking for the isolated home stays and cottages present there for tourists. I do not reside in TN, nor do I have a lot of known people over there. Anyone here staying out of India but have a hassle free time investing in cottages and running it from outside India. Idea is to have a peaceful relaxing place when I visit India , and the other months, instead of it being not taken care of , guests can utilize it while it brings in a little amount as well.
