UBER AUTO is turning cash only

I have always preferred UBER over other apps simply because my experience has ALMOST always been good while using UBER, a very anecdotal reason to prefer one app over the other one ik. I sometime do not mind paying a bit extra even if other apps are offering better prices. But this seems like a step in the wrong direction? Kinda contradicts the whole DIGITAL INDIA initiative. Part of the charm of these auto hailing apps is that you don't have to carry cash, saves you from the hassle of change. Some drivers on these apps are already not very co-operative and on top of that this? What do you guys think?
