Why do most trading apps slow you down?

I scalp options daily, and the biggest problem I face is switching between screens while trading. That 2-3 second delay can be the difference between profit and loss. So I tried a setup where I could track index & option charts together AND place trades from the same screen. It improved my speed significantly. Now I can watch the market and the positions at the same time. Seeing some better trading results with this setup What trading setup do you guys use?
