Surviving this Market Correction without losing Sanity
I started my investing journey almost 1.5 years ago (yeah, I’m a newbie), and this is probably my first real market correction. My mutual funds are in the red, but honestly, I’m not too bothered, since I’m in this for the long term(Things we say to console ourselves), and I believe things will take a while to comeback on track(Let's hope). But instead of just debating whether the market will go up or down, let’s talk about **what we can actually do** in times like these. I see a lot of people(fin-Fluencers you know on YT) suggesting investing in Nasdaq, the US market, China, and even gold. But beyond just asset allocation, **how do you guys navigate in such corrections who have seen previous corrections like government shifts or bubble bursts?** Also, for those investing in outside India markets (US, China, etc.), **how are you handling this correction?** What strategies are working for you? Can people reading this just write in points steps you're taking, whether you're investing outside or not, increasing or decreasing SIPs or doing only F&O or whatever. I'll go first: 1. Decreased my SIPs as I believe(random analysis based on sentiments) after couple of months we'll get much clearer picture and thinking of increasing SIPs then. 2. Exited Stocks in profit like Zomato(surely will buy it again). Stocks in losses like IDFC, haven't touched them will find opportunity to average them out once I feel they're stable. Note: I'm not asking about Stocks or MF selection or buy and sell suggestions. Looking for strategies and thoughts you guys are putting these days. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!4
