Portfolio Analysis and Guidance
First of all, a very Happy New Year to everyone! I am a recent graduate (age 22M), and I would like to start monthly SIPs. My plan is: 43k SIP in following funds: 1) Edelweiss NIFTY LargeMidCap 250 Index - 30k 2) Nippon NIFTY 50 Index - 8k 3) Parag Parikh Flexi Cap fund - 5k My goals: Very long term (10+ years for sure), safe bets but okay with little risks, and most importantly not spend much time worrying about my investments or analysing too much. My Analysis: I realise the overlap between funds 1 and 2, but I had chosen 1 because I can invest in the midcap domain with the volatility balanced by largecap, and 2 because I would still like to invest more in the stable index of largecap. Plus two different fund houses, just in case. I am young, and so am okay with risks but I feel the idea of indices growing over 10+ years is a safe bet. I would also want the flexicap fund for exposure to small caps, but I find actively managed funds somewhat risky (just a gut feeling) and hence the low allocation (any other fund suggestion here is also helpful) I am also exploring debt funds, but 43k per month is all I can do now, so please let me know how I can change or improve on this. I also have EPF with 100% matched VPF so maybe debt funds are taken care of?3
