Mughals, Britishers & Indian Tax Terrorist!!!

We have a history of getting looted by Tax terrorists. * Mughals had oppressive tax system, including land taxes (Zabt) and Jizya tax on non-Muslims. * British colonizers had the most Chut**pa & exploitative taxes like the Salt Tax and Permanent Settlement Act, it led to poverty and famine. (Approx 1.5 crore people died). * Even post Independence our country Inherited a complex tax system with all ongoing reforms and too many challenges. * So even now we have just High tax rates, be it any party all are morons... Significant tax burden, especially for the middle class, leading to frustration. * Tax terrorists have made even tax filing process a cumbersome one and there is lack of transparency. * If you are middle class then corruption is your biggest enemy. You have to please the babu's left right and center with bribe. Problem is that India's history of taxation has just been exploitation of the middle class be it any party. Congress or BJ party, no one cares. Maybe in our lifetime someone or some party would address the issues such as high tax rates, bureaucratic inefficiencies, and corruption. There is a need for reforms to create a fairer and more equitable tax system for all. Please shout your lungs out in the comments.
