Link InTime is absolute worst POS. Barely responsive and made me lose almost 5k in various fees in order to dematerialise old shares, and simply sends me a return saying i have to do it again, and absolutely no extra guidance on how to do it better.
I have shares of Aroni chemicals of my grandpas, which became Saraswati Commercials. I still have the Aroni Chem certificates, and was trying to process dematerialisation, for which they said you need to have the original share certificate, or duplicate. (Link Intime acknowleges new cert number and shares on their folio) and so I applied for duplicate certificates. They told us to make 2 x 500 rupee stamp papers, one for affidavits, and one for indemnity. Processing the whole thing, along with notary charges and other misc, costed me close to 4000, plus several other correspondances and courier charges in prior intimations. And today they tell me, there are several errors, including that affidavit should have annexure 1 and indemnity should have annexure 2, signature of holders being different, though we have gone through KYC with them earlier this year with the same, address different between oath statement and final column, Calling on their call center and explaining that we need more help, they send us another number which is never usable since several months ago. Both the certificates are waste now, and we'll have to spend close to 4000 again to redo it. We are already spending almost 8% of our portfolio value right after this, and now I'm nervous if it is gonna be ok after this round also. Absolute shambles this is.5
