Investing at the right time

Instead of investing based on some trendy insights, isnt it better to wait and watch those company stocks on a real time basis for a few years? Like studying the stock market visually instead of getting your hands dirty and losing some sum. It seems people nowadays jump to conclusions after watching a finfluencer and dont do their due diligence. I am currently 24 and I think I will only invest in Nifty 50 or any other investments which does not require a lot of watching on a real time basis. Of course, after being financially strong since the index is expensive.
