Has the options become less volatile?

Options from past 2-3 months are moving up and down at a comparably slower pace than before. Is it because of various rules bought in by SEBI? Or just a temporary thing? Or just my observation? Was pre-Covid level same volatile. (Asking this because lot of retail investors entered options trading and it became unpredictable)
