Startup founders, what do you look for when recruiting devs

Computer Science major here from Toronto. I've been working as a developer part time for startups since 2023 and I'm wondering what startup founders look for when recruiting. Is it experience developers or junior devs as well? And what skills would wow you? What's your recruiting process like?
