Finally found our calling. Wanted to share our little milestone
Tldr: Our startup recently reached 2100+ signups on our waitlist. Finally feel like we're doing something important. Woohoo! Our journey started with a shared frustration about the state of job boards and outsourcing platforms available for Filipino remote workers and freelancers. Too often, these outsourcing platforms are riddled with scams, exploitation, and even discrimination-issues that are largely ignored by the established players. Despite their dominance, many have grown complacent, leaving the community underserved and overlooked. With that, we saw an opportunity to create a platform that offered better tools, user experience, and actually fixes some of the ongoing issues with existing sites. We also garnered a ton of support from this very niche market (Filipino virtual assistants, freelancers, etc). Now we just reached this tiny milestones of 2100+ of people that are looking for a better alternative. I know it's small in comparison to others here but this milestone does provide me with some validation that what we're doing is right and wanted by the same people it was meant for. We've gotten a ton of feedback, encouragement, and support for this project and it kinda gave our team some meaning and something to work for. Shout out to the community at r/buhaydigital. Where this all started and Remotica.ph was born!2
