Using AI to plan and operate your business

I built a platform to help aspiring business owners plan and start their businesses. When I started, AI had just started making waves, and I wasn’t sure how it would fit into the platform because I didn't have the tools to integrate it's abilities. Now AI (specifically I use ChatGpt) is my daily assistant giving me some perspective on its usefulness for my customers. I use AI as an editor for app content, social media posts, and some HTML and JSON tasks. It reduces the time it takes to get review work done and process concepts, giving me time to focus on platform development. Now, based on user feedback, I know how powerful AI could be in improving the business planning process—especially for writing the narrative portion of a business plan (customers do not like writing!) presenting a way to remove one barrier that keeps entrepreneurs from testing and implementing business ideas. Now, I’m integrating AI into my platform as a writing tool, along with research features to pull state registration requirements based on business structure. It’s exciting to see how AI can reshape the way we approach planning by taking a framework and details we provide it. Here’s how I think AI can enhance business planning: * **Analysis**: Quickly gather insights and create customer personas based on a large amount of varied market research. * **Content Editing**: AI can take user inputs (business specific planning details) and turn it into an articulate business narrative. * **Research Assistance**: Summarize regulatory requirements. * **Concept Simplification**: Use AI to learn business concepts based on what you already know since it can give explanations from any perspective you need. Of course, there are challenges: * AI can’t replace your unique vision or the detailed insights you bring. Make sure AI is incorporating your input and perspective. * It doesn’t provide real-time market data or reliable financial projections without getting significant information from you. * Over-reliance on AI can result in generic plans that lack market understanding. Be sure you get information from your potential customers. As I continue to find ways to integrate AI in the platform I’m curious: How are you using AI in your business?
