Simple Design for Deep Tech Startups
I'm running a deep tech startup solo, and I'm finding that even basic design can be a huge differentiator. My competitors, some with teams of 5-6 people, were neglecting their branding entirely. Their websites were atrocious, their marketing materials nonexistent. I decided to focus on creating a professional image from day one – decent website, product catalog, even a texture package for 3D models. The results were surprising. Early adopters assumed I was a much larger company, and it actually helped me close deals. I think for deep tech, where the product itself can be complex and hard to grasp, a clean, professional presentation builds trust and credibility. I'm using Kimp for unlimited graphic design. It helps maintain a consistent brand image across everything from website design to sales materials without hiring another human. My competitors are finally catching on and copying my approach, which is fine by me. They can only copy what I've already done, not what I'm going to do. Any other solo founders out there finding success with this strategy? How are you tackling branding and marketing on a shoestring budget?3
