Should I ask this guy to be my co founder?

I just started developing my product after getting good feedback from my business mentors about the product and my strategy. I can code, and I am great at communicating with people as well. I do have some business experience from running a dropshipping website but thats about it. I met a guy last week through a local networking event and he seems really ambitious and motivated about business. I am thinking whether it will be a good idea to ask him to be a co founder so I can solely focus on coding the product, and he can be in charge of the other stuff since he knows more than me, but part of me, you can call it my ego, is telling me to keep it all to myself, even if it takes longer to learn and do everything on my own, just because I find it hard to trust people to do a good job and I just want all the credit. I see that many startups founders have co-founders so obviously my thought process is not the best. What advice can you give me? Have you ever been in this situation?
