Beta Recruitment

Im at a place where I need to recruit my first beta group. This piece will be niche and I’m debating going to paid beta user route. What are pros and cons, the biggest thing for me is time; and I’m LIMITED on that. If the advice is find them myself, what has been the most successful method?
