Simplified vs traditional Mandarin (identical meaning but different characters) as keyword?

My post is a guide to Malaysian visa categories. For one category, I used **经济特区(SEZ)** in **Simplified Mandarin**. However, in Google Search Console, I see it's ranking (poorly) for **mm2h經濟特區**, which is in **Traditional Mandarin**. Both terms mean the same thing. The key difference is: * **Traditional Mandarin** is more popular among people from China. * **Simplified Mandarin** is more commonly used in Malaysia. Since my post is targeting foreigners, I’m wondering if switching just this specific term to **Traditional Mandarin** (while the rest of the post stays simplified) improve how Google sees the relevance of my content?
