Google is not a search tool anymore - it has become an internet catalog.
I am sick and tired of all these SEO whims, which are effectively Google whims. We started observers com almost two years ago, publishing and improving our content every day since then. More than 2000 articles were published, each taking hours of research, design, and editing. But mr. Google decided that they should not be on their internet catalog. I am not talking about ranking. Google just decided to "not index" them, basically banning us from the internet. No explanation or answer to our appeals. Our SEO audit revealed, that the problem could be because we have too many tags on the website. When we started we decided to mark the article with all the topic and company names that the article was associated with. It helped us to easily find where did we mention that particular subject before. Our publishing platform Ghost generates separate pages for each tag and according to SEO advisor that could potentially be the problem with this indexing because Google might find these pages as artificially pumping the keywords. Now we marked those pages with noindex, and waiting for the reindexing results. But, why should we distract from our main task - observing and reporting on crypto news, adjust our internal cataloging structure to please mr, Google? Somehow, the world's largest engine that is also developing AI, cannot recognize tag pages and unindex them without us feeding them this info. Today we had a snippet article about a recent Wolf capital We decided to add the photo of the founder to add more value to our readers. A simple search of Wolf Capital founder Travis Ford brings no results with Google (probably the subject had cleared them from Google). We found it through Yandex. And now, 30 minutes after publishing our article, the image appeared on Bing as well (from our website). Good luck finding it on Google.5
