Need Help Navigating Land Titles in Punjab, Anandpur Sahib

Hi all. My great grandmother lived in a small house right down the road from the Takhat Sri Kesgarh Sahib Gurdware in Anandpur Sahib. She left the land to my father and my father's brother. My father has lived in Canada for 50 years now and is in his elder years. His grandmothers wish was for her legacy to live on in that holy city. I am trying to figure out a way to see if my father, or his deceased brother still have any claim to that land. My punjabi is not good enough to navigate anything in India from Canada. Any help on where to start solving this mystery would be greatly appreciated.
