Can frothy/soapy discharge come out of the mouth from drinking too much alcohol?
Hi everyone, I’ve posted this question in other drug-related subreddits, but since I’m from Punjab, I thought it would be a good idea to ask here as well. **Background Story:** I am 19 years old, and I have a younger brother who is 17. He’s very extroverted and has a lot of friends, some of whom are older than him. In our family, no one drinks alcohol or consumes any substances like opium (*afeem*), *chitta*, or anything else. Unfortunately, due to his friends’ influence, my brother started drinking alcohol about a year ago, but we didn’t notice because he drank only small amounts. Eventually, I found out, and when I spoke to him patiently, he confessed that he drank alcohol like Monkey Shoulder, Black Dog, and other brands. He also admitted to using a vape, smoking cigarettes, and even trying *chitta* once. Recently, something alarming happened. One evening, my brother came home barely able to walk, leaning on the walls for support, and was completely out of control. He was talking nonsense very loudly before getting unconscious. A few minutes later, frothy/soapy discharge started coming out of his mouth, and he became fully unconscious. When he regained some consciousness later, he told us that he drank an entire bottle of alcohol that day. However, I am suspicious that someone might have mixed something in his drink, or he may have consumed some other substance in addition to alcohol. Can excessive alcohol consumption alone cause this kind of frothy/soapy discharge? Or does this only happen with other drugs like *chitta* or pills? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.1
