Why is Tulshi Baag so crowded these days?

I live in Panvel but my mom is from Pune and I was born there too so we visit family often. We wanted to go to Chitale's as is tradition but my mom wanted to visit her favourite ice cream place Kavare's ice cream first so we decided to go there and the rush there was worse than a Mumbai local. So insane my mom almost gave up on it. She told me that when she was a kid there was barely any crowd and now its way too crowded. The ice cream was good in fact on par with Puneri standards if not better. But that crowd was insane.
