What happens next in my child’s passport application after police verification?

I applied for a passport for my 4.5-year-old child, using my Pune address (which matches my Aadhaar and hers), while my husband’s address is in Indore. During police verification, the officer said the child’s passport should have the father’s address instead. However, since my child’s Aadhaar is already linked to my Pune address, I proceeded with that. Now, when I checked the status online, it says: “Police report has been submitted by XXXX Police Station, Pune City and sent to Commissioner of Police, District Pune City for review.” Does this mean my child’s passport application is stuck? Will they cancel it, or is this a normal step in the process? Has anyone else faced a similar situation?
