Renter didn't pay money or electricity bills for two months,now wants to leave .

My father have flat in pune. We rented it with 9 month lease. Now the renter didn't pay rent for two month. We try to call them after first month rent delay. No one answered . My brother went check on them. Their son said they changed the phone no. Their parent will call about the rent. Then My kept calling on new phone no. They didn't answer for a week. When they picked the call they said they were leaving.it was after 3 month. They only paid rent for 2 months.they said they gave notice period when my brother went their. Last Sunday my father went , they told him they will next Sunday. Now they want to stay their without paying rent for one more month. They also threatened my father with goons. The rent is going to deducted from deposit. The flat has filter, water geyser, bed. We fear they might break those things. Is their any we can do?
