Too many issues with this city now
I moved to Pune back in 2005 when I was still in school. The city was beautiful then - calm, with soothing rains. But holy hell, look what it's become now! First off, the **TRAFFIC**! Back when I was in college, you could actually MOVE on these roads. Now? Post-pandemic it's like everyone decided they needed their own personal metal box. Single people driving cars everywhere like public transport is beneath them. Result? Traffic jams 24/7, everywhere you look! And what's with **Pune's bizarre obsession with speed breakers**?! Like seriously, we already can't move in this traffic, and then you throw these concrete mountains every 100 meters! I've driven across Punjab and Himachal - they manage just fine without turning their roads into roller coasters. These aren't even proper speed breakers - they're vehicle assassins! My bike's alloys cry every time we hit one of these monstrosities. **The pollution**? Don't even get me started! A 30-minute morning ride and my face looks like I've been working in a cement factory. And the NOISE! Between the endless honking and those wannabe-cool guys with their modified Bullet silencers - newsflash geniuses, no girl is impressed by your ear-splitting bikes, they're just cursing you like the rest of us! And the **footpaths**? More like shop extensions now! "Rasto me khade nahi khado me raste hai" has become Pune's unofficial motto. The cherry on top? **ZERO traffic sense.** Signal tod do, wrong side chalo, kuch bhi! You have to look both ways even on a ONE-WAY road because someone's definitely coming the wrong way! **Look, I grew up in this city and I love it, but damn, it hurts to see it deteriorating like this. Pune used to be something special, now it's just... chaos.**5
