Pune rivers in 2024: Floods, flies, bloodworms and threat to riparian zones

We have untreated sewage flowing into our rivers, where fishes are dying. Yet we have the government going ahead at full speed with its so-called riverfront development project for which thousands of native vegetation trees are cut and the riverbank concretized . What would we do with a river with dead fish, polluted water, with no trees and birds around?
