Parents Want to Move to Pune – How Do I Keep Them Busy & Avoid Boredom?
I’m in a bit of a tricky spot and could use some advice. My brother and I both live in Pune with good jobs ( Unmarried , live separately with our friends) , and we also have a spacious house in the village where our parents stay. But they wants to move to pune now. Here’s the situation: * **Dad** is a businessman who spends most of his time in the market yard, staying busy and spending time with old-age friends. * **Mom** is a housewife, usually has a routine to go to village temple with friends. A few other families from the village recently moved to Pune, and now my parents want to follow. My brother and I don’t mind, but we’re concerned: **Pune’s social scene is so different from the village.** some old People here are more “city-like,” and wont socialize much with village people. I can’t see my dad being happy sitting idle at home all day. My mom might struggle with the quieter social scene too. We’re pretty sure they won’t go back once they come, because me and brother won’t be able to move back to our previous places, they will only suffer the loneliness. **Has anyone been through this?** How can I keep my parents busy and engaged so they don’t feel lonely or bored in pune? Please help a fellow Marathwada Outsider!5
