Need urgent help regarding mediclaim

My friend is currently admitted and the bill has crossed 7.5lakhs. She has coverage upto 6lakhs from Oriental. And later she has to get an injection every month that costs 23k. I have 2 questions, Is there any way we can extend existing plan with special conditions citing emergency, or if we can take top up for post surgery expenses? Or are there any external policies that we can take to get it covered? Please, I know this is not the right sub, but I really need some help on this.
