Moving to pune

Any suggestion what to expect? do i need to learn Marathi to survive? how much rent and all like my office is in kharadi so i need place to live atmax 1 hour distance but ideally half an hour, and it should be affordable as i am just starting so like salary is not that much. what is socializing status like outsider accepted? if i wanna make friends and all(not saying about dating or girls coz have no intrest in that just simple few friends like that) also anything else you wanna add then plz add it. btw for refrence if anyone intrested i am from varanasi (UP).
