Indian rail screwed me over big time!

I've my cousin wedding in Goa tomorrow and I booked pune-madgaon train and yesterday I got a message that it got delayed from 3.30 afternoon to 6.45 evening and now I receive a message saying it's delayed to midnight 3.30?! Like holy fuck, 12hrs of delay! I'm worried that if I reach at 3.30 and it says surprise mf it's cancelled it will be like taking flying arrow up my ass. I'm confused between booking a car rental or bus. Really wish to go from flight but the prices are too high and have no idea of luggage allowance either. I'll like to ask you guys if you've ever travelled from pune madagaon express and is it safe and worth waiting till mid night?(ernakulam jn final dest.) Thankful to this sub that I can vent here.
