Has anyone gotten BH registration recently ?

I am working in MnC which has office in 5 states and currently working in Bangalore, but I am from Pune and have address proofs for Pune. I have booked a car and made full payment including road tax for BH registration, and obtained Form 60 from my employer. Now the dealer is saying I need to be working in Pune to be eligible for BH registration. Is this true? Can't I get BH registration by working in Bangalore?
