Beware : Mahavitran scam

Hello everyone! Be careful of this new scam by Mahavitran This month, I received electricity bill of ₹11,000 where only my mom and brother lives and they don't even have a tv let alone anything else to generate that high bill. Usually the bill amount is ₹600 to ₹1500. After calling the customer care to complaint last week, I was informed that not only the bill was incorrect this month, but they were sending me an 'Average Bill' since July instead of collecting the real reading. I was assured that the bill is completely incorrect and I don't need to pay it till I recieved a new bill next month. I was also told that they'll not disconnect the electricity. (I have phone recordings of all the conversation and written complaints) This afternoon (on a Sunday where the office is closed), Mahavitran person came and disconnected the electricity. Now I tried to explain the situation to them but they are demanding that I pay not only the bill but also reconnection charges and there's nothing they can do otherwise. They're telling me that the bill will be adjusted next time but I have to pay upfront now. I don't know what kind of scam is this or if anyone has faced similar instances but there's nothing I can do today but to pay the fake bill because it's Sunday and customer care people won't help at all. How is it a customer's fault that the bill sent wrong and that too from months and now I have to pay extra charges because I refused to pay the wrong bill? Now these fucks refuse to even reconnection the connection even if I pay the bill as today is Sunday and it's not a working day but it was working day to disconnect the electricity
