What do you guys actually think of the Indian Army?

I’m 17, preparing for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and of Kashmiri origin (I’m pretty sure y’all know how the situation there is). I’m pretty sure you must know that the Kashmir situation isn’t great. Since NE also faces a similar problem of being caught in the crossfire of militancy and military, I wanted to know how the NE Indians actually feel about the Indian army. I know they’ve done atrocities in the past, but like as an NE Indian what’s your opinion and how have your interactions-if any- been with army personnel? Thanks
