    No hype culture

I have always wondered why NEs try to be such perfectionist and quick to judge our artists when our entertainment media is almost non existent but will gladly hype up mainland cultures and artists. Media/entertainment houses are the most powerful form of soft influence and doesn't matter how much you try to gatekeep a community, sooner or later the new generation will be drawn to the ones which are popular/hyped. The north and south Indians knows exactly how to work things in their favour when in comes to soft influence. For eg: You will see an average singer from North India and boom the very next week he will have 50-100k followings, with numerous edits and hashtags. While it takes a good NE singer years to reach even 1M subs. Is it because of the diversity or lack of a uniting factor? Is hate the only common thing in North Eastern states? I understand it is a primal emotion and exists in every human being but are we still that ancient that we can't work on it for our own betterment?
