Dear natives of Northeast, don't let others appropriate ur ethnic and cultural history.

NE people, there has been an ongoing attempt to 'INDIANISE' the unique culture and ethnic history of NE under the rhetoric of 'National Integration'. Not only this is unjustified based on true and factual historical context but it is also highly objectionable. Pic attached shows a Meitei guy rebutting a post by a mainlander that present day Manipur is somehow related to Hindu Mythology Mahabharat. Not only the claim is still debatable but its also inconsistent with established historical facts. Another pic attached shows how PM Modi is appropriating the history of Arunachal by claiming that some princess from Arunacahl married Hindu God Krishna, which is nothing but mythology with no proper historical basis which was justifiably pointed out by the Arunachali guy in Pic. So guys remember, ur identity and culture is being targeted all in the name of 'integration' and we natives should come together and raise our voice on this matter. And most importantly we should put forward our true indigenous culture infront of the whole world to show our uniqueness.
